Course Title: Designing with Architectural Zinc: Today’s Building Techniques and Methods

Course Description:
Zinc is an emerging architectural metal in the US due to its numerous benefits and ability to obtain points for LEED certification.
This study will:
- Walk participants through zinc’s history and its uses leading up to its uses as an architectural metal;
- Showcase zinc’s various capabilities and benefits for building design and aesthetics from exterior and interior applications;
- Gain knowledge of architectural zinc’s performance in the environment as well as comparing it to other metals and building materials;
- Show that life cycle benefits of architectural zinc are demonstrable and are proven to far outweigh the initial upfront costs.
